Did God call you to share His love and truth?

“Godfidence”

Do you have it, or not?

What is Godfidence? It’s God-confidence. It is humble confidence that God gives you everything you need in order for Him to do His will in you and through you. It is not prideful; it does not boast. It is confidence from God that you have the authority from Him to do whatever He needs you to do. His plan; not yours.

Are you all-in with God, or not?

Recently, I’ve heard a number of people who feel led to share God’s truth and love, and warn about end-times and the need for salvation, that are saying that they have “no authority” to speak about these things, or saying that God doesn’t speak to them. My heart cringes every time I hear this. I personally know that scripture does not support those statements. What scripture does say is that we have been given authority and that the Holy Spirit teaches us and speaks to those who are listening, obeying, and following His lead to share His truth. So each time I hear one of God’s chosen set-apart ones say these statements, it hurts my heart. I heard it again today.

So, I asked God again,
“Why do they say that?” Are they creating a loophole so that they won’t be held accountable for what they are saying? Are they saying it so that people won’t attack the message God is giving them to share? Are they not called to evangelize for you? Is this just entertainment for them? Could they be false teachers? Lord, why are they sharing truth and then playing it safe at the end of their teaching with a disclaimer that you didn’t tell them to teach us? I observed that they haven’t added to their statement that God gave them the authority, not man, or that the message was given to them by you to teach others.”

By them saying they have “no authority” or “they don’t hear directly from God” at the end of their lesson makes it easy to wonder if anything they just told us was truth or only their opinion. Obviously we are to align everything we hear with scripture to make sure it’s truth (1Thessalonians 5:21), that is the listeners responsibility from the Lord. Still, I don’t understand where their hesitancy to give God credit and glory for the lesson comes from because I believe they are called to evangelize for God.

This blog was created to encourage them to go all-in and take their faith to the next level; speak with Godfidence!

Questions:

This issue raises questions:

  • What does Jesus say about who has authority and who gives it to them?
  • If God is leading a person to share His truth, then did He not give them the authority to share it?
  • Are you speaking your truth, or God’s truth?
  • Do you have authority to speak on the Word of God, or not?
  • Does the Holy Spirit speak to us, or not?

Let’s dig deeper and find the answers.

Who gives us authority to speak about Jesus?

Before Jesus ascended into Heaven after being raised from the dead after dying for our sins on the cross, He told us clearly what He was giving us. His disciples asked Him, and He answered. Then, the disciples went about spreading His truth.

It seems that the enemy has been placing fear in these “appointed by God – authorized to teach” modern day disciples of God. It’s time to visit God’s truths so that we can clear this up.

Through my studies of the Holy Bible from cover to cover, Genesis to Revelation, I’ve learned that scripture clearly tells us that believers and followers of Jesus have “ALL AUTHORITY” to speak in His name because

HE

GAVE US

THIS AUTHORITY!

Scripture says that we don’t need man to teach us in order to make us an authority on the subject. Nowhere in the Bible does it say we have to go to seminary to be able to speak with authority about God’s Word. We are told in scripture many places that the Holy Spirit is our teacher. He teaches us all things that we do not know.

“Thus says the LORD who made the earth, the LORD who formed it to establish it—the LORD is his name: Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.“ Jeremiah 33:2-3

“I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you. But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.” 1 John 2:26-27

God doesn’t call only seminary educated people to share His truth. Sadly, many of those very ones have fallen from grace because they were distracted by the enemy and stopped teaching God’s truth. Perhaps that is why God is calling those without formal education and Bible teaching certificates to spread His truth for Him. Remember what it says in scripture about this?

…”God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.
God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.
As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.” 1Corinthians 1:27-29 NLT

If God called you to speak for Him,
speak in Godfidence!

You have no need to be concerned with backlash or possible persecution for your shares; God is with you. It’s ok to tell people you are a lay person and you are learning just like they are, but reconsider speaking the untruth that you have no authority to speak His truth. He sent you on this mission you are on. Trust Him to tell you what to share and that He will protect you, in life and in death.

We must be willing to give our lives for His truth!
We are marked by God!
We are His!

God’s truth on who has authority

We learn here that Jesus has been given the authority to pass along to us:

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Matthew 28:18

“And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18

“And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases” Luke 9:1

“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” Luke 10:19

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12

“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence” 2Peter 1:3

Questions? These scriptures tell the truth, God’s truth, just as it is written. Stop allowing fear to make you add a disclaimer to what God has you doing. Walk in Godfidence!

In summary,

Everyone has a special purpose by God that He created for them to do during their time on earth. For those who choose to allow Him to use them in their purpose, they need not fear persecution. Jesus already warned us we would be persecuted and to not allow that to stop us from our mission He has placed in our hearts and prepared us to do. He is with us, we are not alone, He will protect us – in life, and in death.

If God has called you,
HE HAS GIVEN YOU AUTHORITY!!!

Don’t fear or allow shame, your past sins that you have been forgiven, or persecution from others keep you from your calling to spread the love of Jesus and salvation, and warning them to prepare for His return.

  • You are chosen, holy and dearly loved (Colossians 3:12)
  • You are qualified by God
  • You are chosen by God
  • You are worthy to share His truth
  • God is Enough!

Trust Him. Cling to Him. Follow Him with Godfidence as He leads you to help save the lost!

For those who aren’t sure where you stand with God or why you have this lack of Godfidence, below is the simple process of making sure you are in the right place with Him. Go through these steps and then follow Him to where He needs you to go next.

Don’t complicate the process for salvation. Keep it simple.

Do the ABC’s and repent today.

  • A: Admit that you are a sinner. (Romans 3:23, Isaiah 64:6, Ephesians 2:8-9)
  • B: Believe in your heart that Jesus is the son of God and that He died for your sins and rose from the dead for you. (John 3:16-18, 1Corinthians 15:1-4)
  • C: Call on Jesus and repent of your sins and turn back to Him and ask Jesus to show you the way. (Romans 10:9-13, John 14:6)

May God bless you and keep you.

Hold on to what is good.”
