How to Put on the Full Armor of God
As women, we are under constant attack. The enemy is always seeking ways to bring us down and make us feel less than we are. Whether it’s through our relationships, our careers, or our health, the enemy will stop at nothing to destroy us. But there is good news! We have been given the full armor of God to protect us from the enemy’s attacks. In this blog post, we will explore what it means to put on the full armor of God and how we can do it.
The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:10-18 that we are to put on the whole armor of God so that we can stand against the wiles of the devil. This armor consists of the following:
-The belt of truth
-The breastplate of righteousness
-The gospel of peace
-The shield of faith
-The helmet of salvation
-The sword of the Spirit
Let’s take a closer look at each piece of armor and see what it means for us as women.
The belt of truth is essential because it helps us keep our focus on Christ. When distractions and negative thoughts come our way, we can use the belt of truth to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus our Messiah.
The breastplate of righteousness protects our hearts from being consumed by bitterness and anger. It reminds us that we are forgiven and loved by God, our Heavenly Father, no matter what anyone else says or does.
The gospel of peace gives us hope in the midst of a storm. It reminds us that no matter how dark and difficult things may seem, Jesus our Messiah is with us and will never leave us alone.
The shield of faith helps us deflect the enemy’s arrows. It allows us to trust in God even when everything around us seems to be falling apart.
The helmet of salvation protects our minds from being consumed by anxiety and depression. It reminds us that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus our Messiah and that nothing can ever take that away from us.
The sword of the Spirit is God’s Holy Word, the Bible. He wants us to read it from cover to cover so that He can teach us and show us things. For those who are looking for a personal relationship, they will find one through a deep study in His Word. Once you know the Word and the Father, you can fight the enemy and the spiritual battles with the truth of His Word.
So there you have it!
The full armor of God consists of six essential pieces: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. As women, we need to put on this armor every day so that we can stand strong against the enemy’s attacks.
What a delightful thought!
I invite you to search the Truth yourself.
Test it. (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
Please go to your Bible and study the entire story. See firsthand what His word says and what He wants to show you. I always check several versions to allow the Spirit to show me the difference and truth. I recommend you do the same.
Enjoy pondering that thought today!
God bless you
