Why do bad things happen to good people?

Learn how you can go through every fire in life without getting burned. It is possible!

Did you know…

That you can walk through fire and not be burned? It’s true. But I’m referring to fire in the spiritual realm. Such as trials and tests in life. My most recent trial by fire was when I was going through the worst time in my life caring for my sick and dying husband. Losing the love of my life was indescribably painful, character building, and personally life changing. When I was walking through that particular fire, I would not have made it if I hadn’t allowed YHWH to carry me through it. It was His words, His promises and His Spirit that got me through the fire. Over the years, I’ve had people ask me how to hear from God.

YHWH speaks to us in many ways. (Hebrews 1)

The easiest way for all of us to hear Him is through His word. This passage helped me so much. I read it over and over. It is helpful for anyone going through the fire. Every time the flames get stoked and burn hotter, read it! You need to hear yourself say it out loud, and the enemy needs to hear you say it. That reminds him which team you are on, and it’s not his.

Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

Putting your faith in YHWH will cause you to have the same outcome as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the book of Daniel.

Daniel 3
The king saw that the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them.

YHWH allowed them to be persecuted, bound and gagged and thrown into the fiery furnace, so that He could get the glory when they walked out of the fire without a trace of being in one. They were in the fire but not burned. The experience built their faith and shaped their character from it and added to their testimony to glorify God. I pray that you will have that kind of faith as well. If that still seems scary to you, pray that The Father will build your faith. Regardless of how he does it, there is no need to fear, because you know He will be with you every step.

Why do bad things happen to good people?

Why do bad things happen to good people? It’s a question we’ve all asked at some point in our lives. And it’s a question that doesn’t have an easy answer. But there is hope. In scripture, we see that God doesn’t promise us a life free from trials and pain. In fact, he tells us that we will have troubles in this world (John 16:33). But he also tells us that he has overcome the world (John 16:33). So how do we get through the tough times? Here are three scriptures to encourage you when you’re going through a difficult season.

Why do bad things happen to good people – it’s a question we’ve all asked at some point

We’ve all looked around us and wondered why life is so difficult, why bad things happen to good people. While we don’t have the answers to that question from a worldly perspective, scripture provides us with valuable insight in many places in the Bible. Romans 8:28 tells us that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called to His purpose. Matthew 10:22, And all nations will hate you because you are my followers. But everyone who endures to the end will be saved. As we focus on Him and make an effort to align our lives with His will, we can find peace in trusting that His plan is greater than our own. Though it doesn’t remove the temporal difficulties of life, walking in faith can help us rest assured that even during hard times, God is with us as He works out His perfect plan.

There is no easy answer, but there are ways to get through tough times

In hard times, it is normal to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. But it is so important to look to the Lord in these moments and allow him to work in you. His Word encourages us that He will never leave us or forsake us, no matter how difficult the situation might be. Give yourself grace and take your worries to Him in prayer. He will see you through the tough days and equip you with the strength needed for each passing moment. Have faith that God is always with you and has your future firmly in His hands. Acknowledge Him during tough times, trust Him, and be encouraged knowing His plans for you are good!

First, remember that you’re not alone – others have gone through similar experiences

Through the darkness, remember that you can always find comfort in God’s promises. Even though you may feel alone in your challenges and troubles, never forget there are others who have gone before you and have overcome their struggles with His grace. He is faithfulness itself, so trust in His words that nothing is impossible with Him. No matter your circumstances, revere Him as the ONLY source of strength and salvation as we walk this journey of life together. Be aware that He will oftentimes send someone in your life that has already been through what you are going through, as a show of His love for you.

Second, find something positive to focus on, even if it’s just a small thing

Sometimes, when we’re in a difficult place, it can be hard to find the silver lining. But as believers, we must trust in His promises and hope for better days ahead. To do that, start by finding something small to be thankful for – no matter how insignificant it may feel. Even in times of tribulation and darkness, the Lord provides us with glimmers of comfort, if only we take the time to look for them. So don’t wait until your situation improves – practice gratitude now and you will find God’s peace and provision steadily increasing in your life no matter what brings you distress. Stay in His word, it will bring you the most comfort because it keeps you focused on Him and He will show you how much He loves you in His word.

Third, don’t be afraid to ask for help from friends or family members

When life overwhelms us, it can be tempting to become discouraged and feel as though we have no one to turn to for help. But remember that God is ever present with His faithful followers and wants us dependent on Him. However, He often gives us supportive friends and family members who are willing to come alongside us in our time of need as well. So reach out with courage and confidence, knowing that you are not alone in your struggles and anxieties. As the Bible says, “Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labor.” Ask for help and receive the comfort of those around you who only want the best for you.

Finally, know that there is light at the end of the tunnel and things will eventually get better

No matter what challenge you may find yourself in, be encouraged that there is always a path to brighter days. As the scripture says, “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning”. Troubles are only a part of life and it is important to remember that they will not last forever. Cast your cares upon God, for He will sustain you through even the toughest storms and pass you through the fire unscathed. The Lord’s provision is assuredly certain and hope remains alive so long as there is breath in your lungs. Look forward and keep faith – know that light stretches out at the other side of this tunnel. All will soon be made right.

Bad things happen to good people, but these steps can help get you through tough times. Remembering you are not alone, finding something positive to focus on, and knowing there is light at the end of the tunnel are all key points in getting though hard times. The ultimate goal is to trust the Father in all circumstances and know that He has a plan for you even when it’s hard to see it.
