What was Paul teaching in the Bible? Are you sure you know…?

What was Paul teaching in the Bible?

Let’s dig a little deeper and find out. Have you ever stopped to ask yourself what was Paul teaching? Some might say, what Yeshua had said. Well that raises another question: What was Yeshua teaching? Did you know that what is called the New Testament was written somewhere between 50 to 100 years after Yeshua’s death? Then what was Yeshua teaching, the same thing Paul was teaching, YHWH’s Torah.

Luke 4
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read. And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” And he rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”

Which raises the question: If everything Yeshua, His disciples and His apostles taught was from YHWH’s Torah. Doesn’t it make sense that we should study YHWH’s Torah too?

What is the Torah? The first five books of the Bible. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.

Not Moses Law, Not Jewish Law, It’s YHWH’s law! For all His people!

What was Paul teaching in the Bible? The Torah. God’s whole truth

Unless you have studied the entire story, the whole Bible, it’s impossible to understand what Paul was teaching in the Bible. He wasn’t just teaching about Jesus – he was actually teaching the whole truth of God from the Torah. And that’s why his message is so powerful and relevant for us today. If you want to understand what God is really like, then you need to study the whole Bible. Paul is making an effort to break down the Torah so that others can understand that it is still relevant and to know that Jesus came to break off the man-made laws and rules that believers can get confused by.

Who was Paul in the Bible and what was He trying to teach about the Torah

Paul, also known as Saul of Tarsus in the Bible, was a Roman citizen and a zealous persecutor of Jesus followers. After encountering the risen Messiah on the road to Damascus, Paul underwent a miraculous transformation. He spread his newfound faith fervently for his remaining 46 years after that powerful encounter! The teachings of Paul focused on the truth of the Torah and how to live for Messiah. Paul consistently provided explanations of how Jesus’ death and resurrection impacted our understanding of the Laws commandments vs man-made law added to the Torah. Further, he advocated for each individual to enter into a personal relationship with God by relying on faith in Yeshua’s gracious redemption – not just attempting to adhere strictly to religious rules. Paul’s teachings are notoriously twisted by those who live by man-made laws added to the Torah, and by those who haven’t studied the whole Bible themselves. Do yourself a favor and choose to study the whole Bible firsthand and allow the Father to show you His truth. He will teach you what to look out for, what to believe and what not to believe. And, He will teach you how to recognize the false teachers and prophets.

What is the Torah

The Torah is a sacred form of writing that contains the teachings, laws and history of the Jewish faith. It is one of the oldest documents still in circulation today and its content has been used by many generations as a way to connect with their beliefs. The words within its texts carry deep spiritual meaning, conveying lessons of endurance and hope. It is also known as the first five books of the Bible that God gave to Moses to pass along to YHWH’s followers from generation to generation to remember what He has done for us. The Torah provides us with truth of what sin is. Even Paul says, “without it, we wouldn’t know what sin is.” There are religious leaders over the centuries that have added to the Torah that is known as “oral” law. Paul spent his ministry trying to explain to believers to follow the God-given written Torah, not the “oral” law that was added to it. Yeshua came to give us a new covenant but the same Torah His Father gave us.

Even when faced with difficult times or adversity, the Torah provides guidance to strengthen our faith and lift our spirits.

Why was it important for Paul to teach about the Torah

Paul, a man set apart by God to proclaim the Good News of Yeshua our Messiah, saw the need to teach about the written Torah to his audience. The Jewish people were accustomed to it, but for many Gentiles who worshiped Yeshua, it was something foreign that needed further explanation. Paul used his epistles as a tool to continue teaching these new believers how faith in God began and why following the Word of God was essential. Openly expressing his love for what God had graciously given him by reminding us of His commandments from long ago. He showed us that although our own righteousness could never save us, we could still strive towards God’s standard with grace through Yeshua as our guiding light – which is always more than enough!

How does understanding the Torah help us understand God’s whole truth

The Torah is God’s grace and love to His people, providing clear instructions and teachings that can be followed and studied to better understand Him. The deeper we dive into the scriptures, the more insight we gain into His character and His plan for us. By closely exploring the words of the Torah, our understanding of those concepts expands exponentially, allowing us to apply them in our own lives and fostering a closer relationship with God. It is like a key to unlock the mysteries of divine truth, giving direction on how we can live as children of our Lord and Savior – living in line with his teachings and promises. Truly understanding all that He has promised us in His word is a life-changing experience that reframes our perspective on every area of life. To understand the Torah is to accept His divinely inspired revelation and walk more closely with Him on His path for us.

We hope this has been an encouragement to you as you study God’s whole word. Remember, regardless of what we go through in life, we can trust our Heavenly Father. He is always there for us and knows exactly what we need even when we don’t. If you find yourself struggling, turn back to the father, repent, and begin reading your Bible again from Genesis 1:1. You may also want to consider joining a Bible study group or fellowship where you can learn more about living out your faith with others who are walking similar paths. Studying the Torah is important because it helps give us a greater understanding of God’s whole truth – not just isolated pieces that might be easy to understand on their own but difficult to see how they all fit together without some context. We encourage you to keep growing in your knowledge of His whole word so that you can more effectively live out your faith every day!

What a delightful thought!

I invite you to search the Truth yourself. Test it. (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

Please go to your Bible and study the entire story. See firsthand what His word says and what He wants to show you. I always check several versions to allow the Spirit to show me the difference and truth. I recommend you do the same.
