The Torah – The instruction book for Life

What is the Torah? Also called the Pentateuch

Deuteronomy 4, It’s the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy

As a parent, and now, grandparent, I can remember back when I was raising my two children saying, I wish there was an instruction manual for raising my kids, Then one day, YHWH tenderly said, there is. It’s my word, more specifically, The Torah. I said, The Torah? Isn’t that for Jewish people? He said, no. I gave My Torah to Moses to share with ALL my people.

Numbers 15
Deuteronomy 27, 28

He said, It’s not just the Jewish Torah. It’s not just Moses Law. It’s MY law, My Torah, My words for all my people.

Exodus 13
Exodus 24
Deuteronomy 29, 30,31,34

He said, in My Torah, you will find all the instructions for your life and for your children to be passed from generation to generation FOREVER!

Guys, The revelation that the Torah is for all of His people blew me away. I’ve never known that. I felt like I had been lied to all my life I was taught that what is called by modern man, the Old Testament was not relevant to me. But it is not old at all and its relevant to followers of Yeshua. I was taught to focus on what is called the New Testament, the Psalms and book of Proverbs. When you read the Torah for yourself, Word for word, study it knowing that it applies to all Gods children, not whiz thru and check a box that you’ve done it, it will blow your mind and transform your life forever.

Our Father’s word has everything we could ever need to follow YHWH and teach us His ways and to teach our children His ways. The Torah is for YOU! The entire Bible is for YOU! Consider reading it not as Old and New sections, but an entire book with many covenants between YHWH and us. Don’t just read the ending anymore. Start in Genesis and read the full story. Learn of all YHWH’s blessings for you. Learn how much He loves you and all the messages He has tucked away for you in His word. It will transform your life forever!

The Torah is for all of YHWH’s people. What is the Torah?

The Torah is the first five books of the Bible and contains the laws given by God to Moses. It is also known as the Written Law or the Pentateuch. The term “Torah” can also be used to refer to the entire body of Jewish law, which includes not only the Written Law but also the Oral Law (the rabbinic interpretations and explanation of the Written Law). In this sense, Torah-learning is a lifelong pursuit for all Jews. You would have to study the entire Bible to understand how YHWH God intended the Torah for His people, particularly after Yeshua our Messiah’s death on the cross. The Torah is still relevant but it’s important to know what YHWH says is relevant, not oral laws or man-made laws added to it.

While many people think of the Torah as a dry and dusty ancient text, it is actually full of beautiful stories and life-changing wisdom that still applies to YHWH’s followers today. As a woman, I find that the Torah has so much to teach us about God’s character and His heart for His people. Whether you’re just starting to learn whole Bible truth or you’ve been studying it your whole life, I hope this blog post will give you a new appreciation for the richness of the Torah!

The Torah is the first five books of the Bible – Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy

God’s Word, the Torah, is the foundation of truth for all God’s followers. Within these five books are answers for how to live and God’s loving guidance for all His followers including sojourners and foreigners. It is important to read God’s Word in its entirety, Genesis through Revelation, study all of God’s divinely inspired books within the Bible. This entire story reveals God’s complete plan for our lives, illuminating the path we should take in a way that could never be achieved if we only studied one part of Scripture. We can find God-breathed guidance in every book and He desires us to study His word from cover to cover – encompassing all – both spiritual wisdom and practical living advice – so that we may receive true redemption through Yeshua our Messiah, our Lord and Savior.

The Torah was given by YHWH to Moses on Mount Sinai

YHWH’s law, not Moses’ law, was given to us on Mount Sinai and is God’s instruction book for all of His followers. Written by God Himself, this inspired and infallible revelation gives us hope and answers that can be found nowhere else in life. The Torah provides us the truth we need to live according to God’s will and give us timeless guidance, leading us away from evil and toward living a life that pleases God. We have been blessed with YHWH’s word and must make the most of it by renewing our commitment every single day to follow His path. Thank YHWH God that He provided us with all we need in the Torah!

The Torah contains the laws and commandments of YHWH

God has provided us with answers to the biggest and most important questions we face in life. The Torah is God’s sacred scripture, urging us to live a life of love and truth. God commands us to be the light in our world, showing people the way of God by practicing His laws and commandments. While studying any part of God’s word is beneficial, it’s crucial for believers to read the whole story; God’s entire plan as found throughout His WHOLE Bible! To truly gain God’s wisdom, read beyond the Torah and open your heart to all that God has to say – then you can truly understand His divine intentions for us in this life.

If you believe that Yeshua came to bring us a new covenant that does not include the Torah, please study the whole Bible so that you can learn the truth firsthand from His Word. Reading pieces of the Bible causes great confusion when trying to understand the entire story He wrote for us.

The Torah is a guide for living a holy and righteous life

God says who we are, and the Torah is a guide to help us find that truth. It provides answers to life’s most difficult questions and helps to provide clarity regarding our identity in God. God is love, and the Torah inspires us to live a holy life devoted to God and His commandments so that we may be righteous before Him and all of creation. By embracing God’s teachings, we can learn how to seek God’s guidance and fill our lives with His goodness. The Torah will remind us of who we are and why God calls us beloved—His children—and serve as an eternal reminder for living a faithful and meaningful life.

The Torah is relevant for all of YHWH’s people today

God’s Word is alive and active, and the Torah is an invaluable part of God’s Word. God loves us so much that he gave us His truth, light, and answers in His Torah! By becoming deeply rooted in God’s Torah, not just dipping our toes into a few Scriptures here and there, YHWH gives us the ability to read the whole Bible with wisdom, discernment, and understanding. God’s whole story of redemption tells us about his grand plan for all His people – now and for eternity. God has lovingly provided us with the guidance we need to live victorious lives in this day and age – through studying every part of His Word. God invites all of His people to come closer to Him by immersing ourselves entirely in Torah study – understanding that it is as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago when it was given on Mount Sinai!

If you have teachers or others try to tell you what God’s Holy Word says, test it. Anything anyone tells you about the Bible should be tested against His God-breathed Word for us. If someone tells you that the Torah isn’t relevant, or the Old Testament isn’t relevant today, run…run away as fast as you can. The Bible is Truth and anyone telling you that what it says is no longer truth, or they are giving your version of what God says, test it against the Truth. It’s important to know that the world does not want you to read your Bible. YHWH God wants to tell you things the world doesn’t want you to know. Find out firsthand what the world is trying to hide from you.

If you are feeling as if life is hard and YHWH seems far away, turn back to the Torah. The first five books of the Bible are a great start to your new relationship with the Father as they offer guidance on how to live a holy and righteous life that is pleasing to our Heavenly Father. Within its pages, YHWH’s love, mercy, and justice are evident. The laws and commandments show us His character and what He requires of us. The Torah is relevant for all people who belong to YHWH – Jew and Gentile alike. If you study it prayerfully, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you, God will speak directly to your heart through His Word. Repent when you sin and return always to Him no matter how far away you feel. Pray continually in everything giving thanks to our gracious Lord who desires a relationship with us more than we could ever imagine (1 Timothy 2:3-4).

What a delightful thought!

I invite you to search the Truth yourself. Test it. (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

Please go to your Bible and study the entire story. See firsthand what His word says and what He wants to show you. I always check several versions to allow the Spirit to show me the difference and truth. I recommend you do the same.

Enjoy pondering that thought today!

God bless you
