God created us to crave a love that only He can give. Find out today how to receive this FREE gift!
What is the greatest gift? The Bible says the greatest gift is: love
Is there anything better than receiving a gift? We all love gifts, don’t we? The feeling of happiness and joy that comes from knowing someone was thinking of us is immeasurable. But what is the greatest gift? The Bible tells us that the greatest gift is love. This might sound cliche, but it’s true! When we love others, we are giving them the best possible gift. It doesn’t matter if it’s our family, friends, or even strangers – when we show love, we are making the world a better place.
Love is the greatest gift because it is what God told us to do
Yeshua taught us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves and that is what makes love such a powerful force. Yeshua said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…and Love your neighbor as yourself,” (Matt.22:37-8). In this, Yeshua showed us that if we want to trust in Him and walk in faith, then loving our neighbors is essential. Yeshua gave us the perfect example of love throughout His life on earth, so when He tells us to follow Him by loving others, we can be assured it is for a good reason. We may not understand why things happen in life, but one thing Yeshua wants us to remember is that He has the answer for it always – He is the Greatest Gift! With trusting faith and obedient truth, Yeshua will lead us on a path where His love guides our hearts and souls towards faithfulness in Him.
Love never fails
There can be no greater example of love than what our Lord Yeshua has for us. If we trust and accept that He loves us, then nothing can tear us down. Even when life is hard, when circumstances feel like they’re out of control, if we trust in His love, it will carry us through – the Bible says so! His faithful love endures forever and He is worthy of all trust. To see the truth and gravity of this love, I encourage you to dedicate time daily to studying the whole Bible, cover to cover. He reveals himself to those who seek Him in earnest, and His promises are trustworthy if relied on with trust and faith in Him above all else. Love never fails – trust Yeshua’s love today!
Love is patient and kind
Love is patient and kind, but truthfully we are completely unworthy of His unfailing grace. We have nothing we can offer in exchange for it, yet God shows us love we could never imagine. All we gave Him was our sinful nature, yet He chose to instead bestow us with unconditional love without us having to do a single thing for Him. He loves us too much to give us what we deserve for our sins, rather He shows only compassion and mercy. What a wonderful privilege it is to be loved by a gracious and merciful Savior!
Love always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres
No matter what we face in life, we can always find comfort in knowing we are safe in His arms. God’s love is so powerful it will always protect us, no matter what we may encounter. Yeshua encourages us to lean on Him and trust Him as we face an uncertain future. 1 Corinthians 13:7 reminds us that God’s love always “bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” We should cling to Him on the bad days, and the good ones. Our God never breaks His promises and His love perseveres even when times get tough. In moments of doubt and fear we can find strength by clinging to Him and His promises—our great protector, who will cover us with His wings and guide our hearts into the beautiful dawn of hope.
Love never gives up
Love never gives up, what joy to know that He never gives up on us! As the scripture declares “though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken.” (Isaiah 54:10) Even when we fail Him, He still loves us with a passionate love that will never end. When life seems hard, or we’re tempted by what is wrong, we can take refuge in God’s unfaltering love that remains strong and consistent. There is healing found in His embrace and it encourages us to try again and never give up. So let us have faith in his unshakable love – knowing that it provides comfort, strength, guidance and salvation each day for it will never forsake nor fail us.
God IS love
God IS love, and he created us to crave a love that only he can give us. No human being can fully satisfy the longings we have deep within our souls. The longing for peace, security, purpose; it all comes down to one simple fact – We need Yeshua our Messiah! Our destination of eternal peace is found in none other than our Savior himself. In spite of our imperfections He loves us deeply and offers us unconditional grace and mercy. Life doesn’t always go as planned, but during times of hardship don’t forget to look to Him for everything. He will never fail you or abandon you in your time of need. Give thanks for he is GOOD and His love will never fail.
The greatest gift we can ever receive is love. Love never fails and it is the very nature of God Himself. When we understand what love is, we can begin to imitate it in our own lives. As we do, we will find that His Love protects, trusts, perseveres, and never gives up on us. If you have not already done so, I invite you to turn back to the Father, repent of your sins, and study the whole Bible from Genesis 1:1 to the last word in Revelation to see firsthand what His Word says and what He wants to tell you. As you do, may His Holy Spirit open your eyes to see all the ways that God has shown His relentless love for us throughout history.
So next time you’re thinking of what to give someone, remember – the greatest gift is always love.
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
1 Corinthians 13
Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became an adult, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
2 Chronicles 7
He says, If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Notice that these directives are not to those outside of the church, but those within, “Called by His name.”
It’s easy to assume that God’s commands are correcting someone else and not ourselves. The Bible is meant to be a mirror in which we see ourselves, not a magnifying glass with which to examine others.
1 Corinthians 13 is a great passage for you to go read and study. It can be used to lead us to be a better people if we read it as first showing us the behavior we need to correct and then as the roadmap to moving forward.
