What is perfect love?
Now that we have learned the names of YHWH, the one true God, let’s learn a little about who He is and how a relationship with Him can change your life.
“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!”(Psalm 34)
Who is God? The One True God
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, YHWH, The I AM
Let’s see what His word says,
1 John 4, Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.
By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Yeshua is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that YHWH God has for us.
YHWH God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
Who is God?
There are many opinions about who God is. Some say that He is a cruel and vengeful being, while others claim that He is a loving and merciful father figure. So, who is God really? The answer may surprise you.
God is the creator of all things
YHWH God is the God of truth and He created all things. Through God, all answers to life’s questions can be found. God desires to have a relationship with humanity and offers us His everlasting love through scripture. By studying the whole Bible, we gain insight into God’s character, discover how much He truly loves us, complete understanding of God’s plan for us, and the ability to apply it to our lives today. God calls us to study the whole story so that we can learn more about Him and His goals for us – ultimately connecting with God through what we’ve learned in our personal studies. Taking time to study the entire Bible helps draw us closer to God and allows relevant truths from God’s ancient messages to become part of our every day life.
God is all-powerful and all-knowing. Our creator who gave us breath.
YHWH God tells us who we are and our purpose we were created for. God’s Word gives us answers that can only come from an all-knowing God. God says we were created in love, and only God sees the bigger picture for our lives and knows what is best for us. His power endures forever and is unmatched by any other. God reveals to us our true identity – one of His beloved children – giving us freedom from fear and worry. Believing and trusting that God is all-powerful and all-knowing brings a greater understanding of our place as His children, giving us the assurance that God will never leave us nor forsake us no matter what challenges life throws at us.
YHWH God is a loving and caring father who wants us to have a close relationship with Him
Our loving Father God is not a distant entity in the sky. He wants to have an intimate relationship with us and draw us close to him. We don’t have to ignore our feelings, push them away, or run from our pain – we can take them all right to the Lord. Instead of listening to what other people have to tell us, we should be tuning into what God has to say through Scripture and prayer. His soothing words of love are like a salve helping to heal our wounded hearts. So don’t be too hard on yourself and don’t try to fight your battles alone. Lay down in the arms of God and rest as you allow Him to carry you through life. Take solace in knowing that His great love for us never fails!
We can learn more about YHWH God by reading the Bible and praying
YHWH God loves to reveal Himself to us, and one of the best ways to discover God’s truth is through His Word. The Bible is God’s love letter to us; as we read it, God speaks directly to our hearts showing His love for us. While simply reading the Bible is a great start, engaging with God as one studies with purposeful prayer produces greater clarity and understanding. By learning the whole story God has told in scripture, we not only study what God said– but also why God said it. Through a commitment of studying and prayer over time, individuals will find God’s answers for their lives and gain the comfort that comes from knowing God’s personal love and care in all circumstances. Whole Bible study helps set our hearts on fire and reveals authentic ways to grow in relationship with God each day.
When we put our trust in YHWH God, He will never let us down
Yeshua our Messiah said in Matthew 7:7, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” — we can take comfort knowing Yeshua has already pointed us in the right direction. The whole Bible tells of Yeshua’s promise to us if we trust Him fully with our faith which comes through the guidance of God’s Holy Spirit, the Ruach Hakodesh. Yeshua is the one who provides healing, hope, love, truth, and access to the Father. Therefore, when we put our faith and trust in Yeshua, He promises never to let us down! When life gets tough or we are struggling to find answers, He is the answer and He can carry even our heaviest burdens if we just rely on Him. Let us remind ourselves daily that Yeshua is there for us no matter what — all we need to do is call out His name for help.
In conclusion, YHWH God is the creator of all things. He is perfect in power and knowledge. Additionally, He loves us so much that He desires to have a relationship with us. As we study the Bible and pray each day, we learn more about our loving Father. When we trust in the Trinity – YHWH God, Yeshua our Messiah, and the Holy Spirit – they will never let us down but will always be there for us no matter what situation arises in our lives. If you are feeling far from God today or don’t even know him, I encourage you to turn back to the Father in repentance and begin reading His Word from Genesis 1:1. Allow Him to speak into your life through scripture and grow closer to Him daily through prayer until you develop an unshakeable faith that can only come from truly knowing the One who created and loves you deeply!
