What is a Messianic follower of Yeshua?

Yeshua is our Messiah

Those who follow Him, follow the Messiah. Making them: Messianic Followers-following the ways and examples of Yeshua

* It’s a faith in Yeshua the Messiah

Luke 22, Yeshua asks, For who is greater? The one reclining at the table? or the one who serves? It’s the one reclining at the table, isn’t it?But, I myself am among you like one who serves.

Yeshua sets an example of loving and serving others as we are to do.

John 13, Yeshua washes His disciples’ feet. A most humbling act of service. Yeshua our Messiah can only speak what His Father speaks. (John 12)

His Father spoke the Torah law through Moses. He also spoke to the Prophets. Yeshua spoke the Torah and the Prophets. The New Testament didn’t exist during Yeshua’s life on earth.

What does following the Torah mean? The Torah, the first five books of the Bible, YHWH’s law through Moses to all His people, is our instruction book for life. Following His commands is pleasing to YHWH. YHWH never changes. Malachi 3 – His word never changes

Believers in Yeshua the Messiah, the son of YHWH are Messianic followers who strive to follow the Torah in obedience to The Father, who read the Whole Truth, the Whole Bible.

Who is the Messiah? Who are His followers? Do you have to be Jewish to be a Messianic follower? Do you have to be a Christian to be a Messianic follower?

In order to understand who the Messiah is, we must first understand who His followers are. Messianic followers are those who believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah foretold in scripture. Christians don’t have to become Jews, and Jews don’t have to become Christians to follow the Messiah. Anyone can follow the teachings of Yeshua our Messiah and believe that He is the long-awaited Messiah, the only son of God of Heaven. What matters most is having a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ – Yeshua our Messiah. If you are seeking Him with all your heart, you will find Him. (Deuteronomy 4:29) As Messianic followers, our desire is to live according to His Word and bring glory to His name. (Isaiah 43:21) Join us on this journey of faith as we seek to know the Messiah more deeply each day. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Who is the Messiah and what does that mean for His followers today

Yeshua, (Jesus) is the promised Messiah and His followers are called to live a life of trust and faith in Him. Just as Yeshua said, “I am the way, the truth and the life” (John 14:6). He is the answer for our lives because only through Yeshua will we find true peace and joy. From Genesis through Revelation, Yeshua is revealed in Scripture as God’s promised Messiah. When we look at Yeshua through the lens of Scripture, it reveals how each part of His story was given by God to lead us to salvation found in Yeshua. Therefore, since Yeshua is alive today, that means for those who follow Him there is a deep hope for restoration and reconciliation restoration with God that can only be achieved through trusting Yeshua as our Savior.

The Messianic message is for everyone, regardless of religious background

Yeshua came to show the world a truth that is often hidden beneath bickering and opinions. Yeshua’s message was one of redemption, offering hope for all who believe in Him, regardless of religious background. Yeshua Himself said that He is the way, the truth, and the life. As we take Yeshua at His word, turning our total trust to Him, and not just a few verses from the Bible cherrypicked to support ideas we want to believe, we rejoice with renewed faith in Yeshua’s power for salvation for all. Yeshua demonstrates what it truly means to have faith in something greater than ourselves and offers us reassurance that He alone is the answer– Yeshua truly makes no distinctions between people when sharing His message of love.

You don’t have to be Jewish or Christian to follow the Messiah – anyone can choose to follow Him.

Yeshua, the Messiah, is alive today and He is ready to walk with you in relationship. Yeshua is not exclusive to religion or culture; anyone can choose to follow Him. When we accept Yeshua as our Savior and Lord, trusting in Him, He fills us with His Holy Spirit and gives us strength beyond our own understanding. Yeshua is the answer to our worries and He will never leave us. Yeshua loves us unconditionally and that truth can be found throughout scripture. Have faith in Yeshua and rely on Him during times of uncertainty – when we trust in Yeshua completely, only then will we find true Shalom peace and hope.

What being a Messianic follower looks like in terms of lifestyle and beliefs

Yeshua has called us to live out a life of faith to encourage others to believe in Him, trusting Him as the answer for each season and situation that we encounter. As Messianic followers, it is not enough to just want Yeshua in our lives; He wants us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength by pursuing His truth from the whole Bible. We must come alongside Yeshua with the same passion He has shown us based on trust and faith which will allow Him fully into our lives. Yeshua provides an ever-present connection with God that can guide and sustain us through everything we do – learning more about Him is a path of joy, and purpose. Therefore, as Messianic followers let us draw closer to Yeshua in earnestness of heart and commitment to seek Him out moment by moment. In Yeshua’s presence lies a wisdom and insight whose source comes only from His truth!

How the Messianic movement is impacting people and the world around us

The Messianic Movement is bringing Yeshua and the power of the Holy Spirit to the forefront of many people’s lives, providing hope and love in a world that can often feel filled with chaos, stress, and fear. Followers of Messiah are discovering that it’s not about the denominations or religion, but a relationship with Yeshua our Messiah and our Heavenly Father through whole Bible study. Yeshua came to bring us joy, which allows us to discover His Shalom that comes from knowing and embracing God’s grace and mercy. Instead of solely relying on words written centuries ago, Yeshua encourages us to read the whole Bible with fresh eyes as He is the ultimate answer for our relationship with God. With trust, faith and truth at our core, we are experiencing profound blessings when Yeshua brings into alignment our heavenly purpose that has been designed by YHWH God.  Through finding a close personal relationship with Him, He begins to show us things we were never taught growing up in church. In this season of revelation from the Father, He opens us up to His ways vs. pagan ways.

As we have seen in this study, the Messiah is coming soon. He is coming to gather His people and take them back to the Father. If you are not following Him, now is the time to turn back, repent, and begin studying the whole Bible from Genesis 1:1 through to the end of Revelation. The Messianic message is for everyone – Jew and Gentile alike. It doesn’t matter what your religious background is, anyone can follow Yeshua our Messiah. What being a Messianic follower looks like in terms of lifestyle and beliefs has been laid out plainly in scripture. And finally, we have seen how the Messianic movement is impacting people and the world around us. As more and more people turn their hearts back to God, the effects will be felt globally. So don’t wait any longer – join us on this journey as we follow Yeshua our Messiah together in Shalom!
