Testing. Who loves a test?!? Raise your hand!

by | Did You Know

We are continuously tested throughout life.
As a believer, our faith is tested continually as we grow closer to Adonai.

“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.” -Isaiah 43:1

This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible because it reassures me that no matter what happens in this life, God is always with me. And as His child, I am never alone. As a believer, our faith is tested continually as we grow closer to Adonai. Learn how to ace the tests as you get closer to our Heavenly Father.

Why are we tested

Testing can be difficult and confusing, but it is a beneficial experience that is character building and helps us grow our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Through testing we gain knowledge that can help others who go through the same struggles as we do. Testing takes us out of our comfort zone and gives us the opportunity to be a witness to those around us, which can lead to character growth and trust in God’s plan. Testing will draw us closer to God; helping us dig deeper into His word, His character, and increase our faith in Him through knowing that He will carry us through it all. We are tested so we can share in His wisdom and character, offering encouragement to others who may also struggle with testing.

How is our faith tested

Our faith is often tested by death, loss, grief and other difficult moments that come our way. Many of us feel anxious and fear the unknown. It can be hard to find peace and serenity in times like these. But God encourages us to trust in Him and believe that we are never alone, even on the toughest days. He will never abandon us and he has already conquered death so we don’t have to remain bound by sadness and depression during challenging times. Instead, let us rely on Him when our faith is being tested and hope in His promises until God reveals his plan to us.

Trust the Tester! What are some ways to grow closer to God through testing

Yeshua our Messiah, is the answer when facing tests. He is doing things in us and for us that we can’t see. We must trust Him. Studying the whole Bible and focusing on His word will help one trust in Him more and build faith in who He is. Yeshua knew life was full of surprises, tests, and trials; however, He also knew there would be joy and victory if He stayed true to the path that God had laid out for Him. Yeshua’s example can be a reminder to us all that there is strength in trusting Adonai, especially during trying times. Testing can be difficult but encouraging verses such as James 1:2-4 remind us that with time, patience and trust in Yeshua, it can bring us closer to God as we each persevere through our own journey.

What can we learn from our trials

We can trust that God is with us and He will use our trials to bring blessings into our lives, even if they are hard to see at first. Yeshua promised that He would be with us always, and no matter what we go through, we are never alone. Even when it seems impossible, the faith and trust we have in God is all the strength we need to make it through any trial. With Him by our side, we can step out of fear and into faith with trust in His love for us. As we trust in Him, there is hope waiting for us around every corner as well as joy that only His power within us can bring – a reminder of His presence each time we pass a test. By relying on God’s love throughout our trials, others going through similar situations may be encouraged by our stories so they too can know they are not alone.

How can we encourage others who are going through a tough time

It can be so hard to find words of hope and support when a friend or loved one is facing difficulty. As believers, through our trusting and faith in the living Word of Yeshua, we can draw courage by clinging to the Father through difficult times. We can encourage those who are suffering through assurance of God’s presence in our lives, through loving words and through standing in prayer with them. Oftentimes, just listening is all they need, as you continue to pray for their healing. God’s power can move mountains and reach into dark places; with Him anything is possible! Let us cling to Him, trust He will never leave us nor forsake us and in knowing that – stand firm in joy while helping others through their rough journey.

The Bible is clear that we will be tested. God does this to grow our faith and to help us turn back to Him. He also allows our suffering to be used to comfort others who are going through a tough time. There are many ways to grow closer to God through testing; it’s important to cling to Him in trust and faith and don’t give up. We need to keep studying the whole Bible, repenting of our sins, and turning towards Him in times of trouble. When we do this, He promises to be with us every step of the way. Let’s encourage one another as we walk through life’s tests together, knowing that our Heavenly Father is always with us.
