Can YHWH God ever forgive my sins?

by | Did You Know

Have you ever thought to yourself, “God could never forgive me for what I’ve done”?

Let’s discover which sins can be forgiven and discover how to please YHWH in the process.

Don’t believe the lies…No matter what you have done in your past,

YHWH WILL forgive you.

As we were all born sinners into this world, we were born needing forgiveness. (Psalm 51:5) As we have aged, we have sinned in many ways in our life. No one is spotless but our Messiah. YHWH knew this about us before we were born. Therefore, there is NOTHING we can do that can separate us from the love of God. (Romans 8) While YHWH wants us all to come near to Him and follow Him forgiving all of our sins when we repent, it’s important that we put off our old selves and strive daily to serve Him only and totally. The Apostle Paul tells us how to walk in righteousness.

1 Corinthians 6
Don’t you know that unrighteous people will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don’t delude yourselves—people who engage in sex before marriage, who worship idols, who engage in sex after marriage with someone other than their spouse, who engage in active or passive homosexuality, who steal, who are greedy, who get drunk, who assail people with contemptuous language, who rob—none of them will share in the Kingdom of God. Some of you used to do these things. But you have cleansed yourselves, you have been set apart for God, you have come to be counted righteous through the power of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah and the Spirit of our God. The body is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body. God raised up the Lord, and he will raise us up too by his power. Don’t you know that your bodies are parts of the Messiah? So, am I to take parts of the Messiah and make them parts of a prostitute? Heaven forbid! Don’t you know that your body is a temple for the Ruach HaKodesh who lives inside you, whom you received from YHWH? The fact is, you don’t belong to yourself; for you were bought at a price. So use your body to glorify God. Examine yourself to see whether you are living the life of trust. Test yourself. Don’t you realize that Yeshua the Messiah is in you?—unless you fail to pass the test. But I hope you will realize that we are not failures. Remember, walking in the Spirit means that the Ruach Hakodesh/the Holy Spirit is dwelling within you causing you to walk in obedience to YHWH. If you are walking in the Spirit, YHWH’s law is written on your hearts so that your natural inclination and desire is to obey Him.

So when you feel that desire to not just read the Word but alter your life so that you are living according to that Word, that’s the Ruach Hakodesh/ the Holy Spirit within you steering you onto that narrow path laid out by the Father.

Galatians 5
If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the spirit. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, violent assertiveness and slander, along with all spitefulness.

Ephesians 4
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted; and forgive each other, just as in the Messiah has also forgiven you.

Have you ever thought to yourself, “God could never forgive me for what I’ve done”?

There are many things in life that we may feel guilty and ashamed of. We may think that God could never forgive us for our mistakes, but that is not true! Scripture tells us that there is nothing we can do that will separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:38-39). So no matter what you have done, know that God loves you and forgives you. There is NO sin so great that He can’t forgive you. He is always ready to give you a fresh start and the great news, He will use your sin to teach you from it and use it to help others doing the very same thing. Trust in Him today! Ask for His forgiveness and begin anew.

We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God

God has filled us with His Holy Spirit and even though we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious expectations, God still loves us unconditionally. God already knew we would sin; it was not a surprise. That’s why He prepared for Yeshua, His son, to come to earth as a sacrifice for our sins. He conquered death and offers us deliverance from all of our sins if we turn away from them and commit our lives to Him. It’s possible not to sin anymore with the help of the Holy Spirit. We will never be perfect but God gives us grace in our shortcomings if we accept Him into our hearts. Yeshua asks that we accept Him as our Lord and Savior so He can care of us and show us His everlasting love and mercy.

There is nothing we can do to earn forgiveness from God – it is a free gift!

Yeshua proclaimed that He was the only path to salvation, and He taught throughout the whole Bible that forgiveness is freely given by God. His message is simple: trust Him, have faith in Him and truth will be revealed. Yeshua Himself is the answer to being forgiven for all of our sins – trusting Him, believing in Him and having a true relationship with God will bring us closer to a lifetime of peace, joy and ultimate Shalom peace with our Creator no matter what we’ve done in the past. Yeshua assures us that our sin-stained souls can be washed in a sea of mercy for our Father could never withhold His perfect love from us. All we must do is believe and follow Him.

Yeshua died on the cross to take away our sins

Yeshua has been with us since the beginning, when Genesis 1:1 revealed, ”In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Yeshua is the light, and it is important to study the whole Bible to fully seek truth and answers. Yeshua loves us so much that He died on that cross to save us from our sins. We can never repay Him for this, but we can accept Yeshua’s grace by being the light, showing love in all situations, and studying His Word. Yeshua gives us hope through every story in scripture; when we spend time with Him daily studying His entire book, we will grow closer to Him and see how relevant God is–in every part of our life.

When we repent and turn to God, He will forgive us

God is always ready to forgive us when we turn to Him in repentance. Regardless of the mistakes we have made and the wrong paths we have been led down, God’s truth remains and offers us a way out through His grace. We can find peace by following God’s way instead of relying on the world’s advice or answers, which no longer serve us. The Bible is God’s love story gift to all of us and His guidance has always been there for us if we open our hearts and minds willingly. God desires for us to draw closer to Him so He can lead the way and show us a better path towards freedom from whatever might be holding us back from experiencing His Shalom peace and love.

We need to forgive others just as God has forgiven us

God is truth and He set an example for us when God made a way for us to be forgiven. God in His mercy declared that our sins could be forgiven if we allowed Him into our hearts, and God also expects us to do the same for others. We are called to follow God’s example, for He said the two greatest commandments He gave us are to love God with all our hearts and to love others as ourselves. When we don’t forgive those who have wronged us, not only do they miss out on the freedom God offers, but we rob ourselves of joy by not forgiving them. So let’s choose God’s call of forgiveness – it was given to us as a gift and it should be given away too.

We have all sinned and fallen short of the Father’s glory, but there is nothing we can do to earn His forgiveness – it is a free gift. Yeshua died on the cross to take away our sins so that we may be forgiven and have eternal life. When we repent and turn back to God, He will forgive us. We need to forgive others just as God has forgiven us. If you are struggling today, remember that you can always trust the Father in all circumstances. Turn back to the Father, repent, and study the whole Bible from Genesis 1:1 to the last word in Revelation.

What a delightful thought!

I invite you to search the Truth yourself. Test it. (1 Thessalonians 5)

Please go to your Bible and study the entire story. See firsthand what His word says and what He wants to show you. I always check several versions to allow the Spirit to show me the difference and truth. I recommend you do the same.

Enjoy pondering that thought today!

God bless you
