How often have you felt like YHWH doesn’t hear you or see you? Maybe you have prayed and not received an answer. Maybe you are sinning and thinking, Yeshua doesn’t know or care. I know someone who says, God doesn’t care about anything except our salvation. So she lives however she wants thinking He doesn’t care. There is a story in John where Yeshua is choosing another disciple named Nathanael. Nathanael didn’t think anyone noticed him.
Scripture says, (John 1)
The next day Yeshua decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.” Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Yeshua of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” Yeshua “saw” Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!” Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Yeshua answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” Yeshua answered him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” And he said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
Nathanael thought Yeshua didn’t know him or see him. Nathanael was a believer though and Yeshua knew that. He recognized Yeshua immediately and believed. Yeshua was pleased and blessed His faith. Yeshua is with you, He sees you, He cares for you. Believe He is waiting on you to call on His name. Repent and Follow Him
Can Jesus see me and what I’m doing? Does He know what I’m thinking? Does He hear my prayers?
As women, we are constantly inundated with questions and worries. Do they like me? Should I wear this? What will people think of me? But one question that seems to plague us more than any other is whether or not God sees us. Can Jesus see me and what I’m doing? Does He know what I’m thinking? Does He hear my prayers?
The answer to all of these questions is a resounding yes! Throughout scripture, we see time and time again that God is always aware of His children. In the book of Psalms, David writes: “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?” (Psalm 139:7). And in Jeremiah 23:23-24, we read: “Am I a God who is near,” declares the Lord, “And not a God far off? Can a man hide himself in hiding places so I do not see him?” declares the Lord.” There is nowhere we can go or anything we can do that will escape God’s sight or knowledge.
So if you’re feeling lost, confused, or alone today, know that Jesus sees you right where you are. He knows your thoughts and hears your prayers. You are never out of His sight or His reach. Trust in Him and lean on His word for strength and peace in whatever situation you find yourself today.
Yes, Jesus sees you and knows what you are doing
Jesus knows you and sees everything that you are going through. He is a loving God and His desire is for us to live an abundant life. Hebrews 4:13 tells us that ‘Nothing in all creation can hide from Him. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and He is the one to whom we must give an account of ourselves.’ We need not fear, for Jesus already knows our weaknesses and struggles, yet still calls each of us beloved children of God! When we remember that His eyes are on us always, we can rest easy in the knowledge that He will help provide for all our needs; giving peace even when our situations seem overwhelming or confusing. So no matter what life throws at us, it’s comforting to know that Jesus loves us just as we are, seeing beyond the mistakes we make and cherishing us in His sight.
Yes, Jesus knows your thoughts
Believers are offered the hope that Jesus knows you on such an intimate level. Psalm 139:4 says “Before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.” What this scripture reveals to us is that Jesus knows your thoughts even before you verbalize them. He also knows what needs and desires you long for, deep down inside of you. It may be tempting to think Jesus doesn’t really care about what goes on in our daily lives, but He cares deeply and pays attention to all the details of our life journey – including our thoughts. His guidance comes through in unexpected ways so take courage knowing that Jesus knows your thoughts and can lead you down the path of blessing if only you listen and trust him with your heart.
Yes, Jesus hears your prayers
Jesus is always open to hearing our prayers, no matter how insignificant or small we may think they are. It doesn’t matter if you tell Him about your big dreams and goals, or if all you need is a listening ear for something that’s bothering you – He hears it all. 1 John 5:14-15 reminds us that whatever we ask of God – in prayer – will be given to us. Knowing this, let us lean into Jesus and confidently share all that we’re asking for while trusting in His perfect plan and love. Remember, He loves nothing more than a humble heart turning to Him and showing faith in Him!
So what does that mean for us practically speaking?
Practically speaking, it means that we are given an opportunity to bring honor and glory to God through our words and actions. We can take the call of scripture in James 1:22-25 seriously, being doers of the word and not just hearers. It also means that we can abide in Him and His Word as mentioned in John 15:7. As we remain close to Him and become more like Jesus, He will be glorified through our lives. If we actively seek His will for us practically speaking, He will provide a plan for us to follow that leads us closer to Him every day!
Application – how this truth should affect the way we live our lives
We should always strive to live our lives according to the truth of God’s Word, for it has been written that “the truth shall set you free” (John 8:32). The truth goes beyond intellectual acknowledgement: when we embrace this truth and allow it to permeate our actions and thoughts, it can bring about real transformation in our lives. We should be open to having our hearts changed and to taking hold of the positive transformation available in living out the truth. As Jesus said, “If anyone keeps my word, he will never see death” (John 8:51). Therefore, let us cling to this truth and make a commitment to aligning our lives with its teachings.
So yes, ” Jesus sees you.” He is not only all-knowing but also attentive to us as His children. This is both a comfort and a challenge. It means that we can trust Him with our whole lives – the good, the bad, and the ugly because nothing escapes His notice. However, it also challenges us to turn from sin and walk in obedience to Him. If you are struggling today in any area of your life, know that Jesus sees you and knows exactly what you are going through. Cry out to Him in prayer and ask for His help. Study His word so that you will know how He wants you to live your life. And don’t forget -He loves you no matter what!
