Dear Daisy,
I was raised in church and taught that there is a rapture, an appointed time when Jesus comes to get His Bride. This subject is very confusing to me. Some people say there is no rapture. Some say there is a pre-tribulation rapture, then others say it’s really a post-tribulation rapture. It is so hard to know what is the truth on this subject. What I know for sure is our world has never been as evil as it is now and it seems like we are living in the true end-times. Can you shed some light on this subject? ~ Signed, Rapture confusion
Dear Rapture confusion,
You are absolutely correct. This subject has been the center of great debate for almost 2,000 years. Fortunately in these last days, Jesus is revealing more information to His Bride who are interested in His truths. Let’s dig deeper and see what we can find.
First step, let’s find out what “rapture” is.
Rapture = Harpazo in Greek
Definition: to seize, catch up, snatch away [Ref: Strong’s Concordance 726]
Translated: Jesus will snatch His Bride away at the sound of the trumpet.
(1Thessalonians 4:16-17)
“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear,
then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
Colossians 3:3-4
Where to find the truth?
I could give you the answers the Holy Spirit showed me personally in scripture but that would not make it true just because I told you He revealed this to me. Jesus wants a personal relationship with each of us, and in that relationship He wants to teach you firsthand what is His truth. It is my job as a servant for Jesus, to lead you back to His Holy Word so that He can show you the truth. It’s time to stop allowing people to tell us what God’s Word says, and find out directly from Him. He’s been waiting for us to lean on Him. Choose today who you will follow: man or Adonai our God? (Joshua 1:9)
It is my pleasure to give you the tools to get you started in the right direction to get you back to the feet of Jesus learning like little children. (Matthew 19:14).
What is the Holy Bible?
Recently, I wrote an Instagram post about the Holy Bible being a hologram. Every word of the Holy Bible is breathed by God (2Timothy 3:16-17). He breathed it in a very specific way from Genesis to Revelation as described in Isaiah 28:10, precept upon precept, line upon line. He sprinkled all truth throughout the entire Holy Bible; no one subject is found in one spot. In God’s magnificent brilliance, it is impossible for you to completely remove a particular subject with the way He designed it. When someone says they can’t understand the Holy Bible, it’s because God intended for you to study the entire book, and with the original light source, Jesus (Genesis 1:3).
Think about it; have you ever noticed that there is not a chapter on Baptism, Salvation, or the Rapture, etc.? If someone sinister wanted to take out the books about Jesus, it’s impossible to do that completely without destroying the whole book. Some think Jesus is only in the Gospel books, and a little in Acts. In reality, God sprinkled Jesus throughout the entire book beginning in Genesis 1. God did that intentionally for many reasons, one being so that you can’t remove any one subject. Pretty cool, huh? Since the enemy knows this, his work around is to create knock-off versions of God’s Word and call it the Bible also. Be careful which Bible version you are reading; if it’s not the original version, you could be learning lies rather than truth. Sadly, it seems everyone is coming out with their own version of the Holy Bible now.
Latest news reports that the US government is trying to ban the Holy Bible in America. That’s curious to me though. If they don’t believe Jesus is the Son of God, and they don’t believe God breathed the Holy Bible, why would they try to ban it? Think about that for a minute.
With the real Holy Bible that God breathed, when the original source of light (Jesus) shines on His Word, He shows what is hidden to His wholehearted followers. When you shine a false light on it, (someone not teaching you the truth of God’s Word, or reading it with a heart not right with God), you can read it all day long and not understand what you are reading.
Now that we understand more about the Holy Bible and that His truth is sprinkled throughout on every subject, and that there is not just one place to find answers; let’s see what we can find out about the rapture.
Rapture Scriptures to study
Here is a list of some scriptures and notes to help you begin your personal research with the help of the Holy Spirit. Never take someone else’s word for God’s truth. Test everything against scripture. (1Thessalonians 5:21) If what someone says does not align with scripture, toss it out! (Romans 12:2). This particular subject is greatly debated, criticized, and causes great confusion. So much so, that believers are oftentimes afraid to talk about it or ask questions. That’s exactly what the enemy wants to happen. He wants believers to focus on themselves instead of God and what He has for them, so that he can lead people away from spending eternity with Jesus. Let’s see if we can shed some light on this subject to help you on your journey for God’s truth.
While there are rapture references throughout the Bible, you might be surprised to learn that there are scriptures about it in the story of Job? If you are not paying attention, and allowing the Holy Spirit to show you things as you study, you will miss them. This is a good place to start. I made notes in bullet point form to make it easier for you to do your research. Once you start your wholehearted sincere journey for truth, the Holy Spirit will lead you where He wants you to go.
Now keep in mind, this is “deep” study revelation here. Before reading it ask the Holy Spirit to help you grasp what He is trying to tell you. This information is NOT taught in churches. This level of education comes directly from studying with the Holy Spirit one-on-one. (1 John 2:27, Jeremiahs 33:) If you are serious about learning the truth and allowing the Holy Spirit to teach you, it will be like drinking from a firehose. The information will flow so fast that it will make your head spin, in a good way. Grab your journal or take notes in your Notes app on your phone. He will teach you so much you won’t be able to remember it all if you don’t take notes.
The Holy Spirit knows your heart and if you are sincere. If you are sincere, He will teach you so much that it will set your heart on fire for more of Him and His truth. The Holy Truth that you have never been taught.
Buckle up!
Rapture bullet points:
- Deeper messages never taught.
- Try to read the whole book of Job at once like a non-fiction book you would read. It helps with getting the whole picture and it allows the Holy Spirit to show you things when you are not in a hurry, but really listening.
- You will find when listening to and or reading the entire book of Job, that there are a lot of points in the story that we were never taught. (when I say listen to the story, I mean that you can use a Bible app that reads the story to you. It’s usually read in KJV or NKJV versions. [I also recommend grabbing a KJV Holy Bible hardcopy for study on God’s truth. It’s the original version that hasn’t been altered.] Audio is often helpful for studying along in the print version. There are audio Holy Bible apps that I love listed in the Resources tab on our website.)
- Job represents the Bride of Christ – God’s wholehearted followers. (keep this in mind while reading the whole book of Job).
- God gave us numbers and uses them to send messages. They are very significant.
- The number 7 is significant here – Job 5:19 (this verse section below bullet points).
- Job suffers 6 events. Job 5:15,16,17,19, 6:7,9.
- When studying here, you will see a shadow-type correlation of Jesus’ death and resurrection story.
- Noteworthy: Just like Job in 5:19, Jesus is also threatened “6” times with stoning but disappeared each time (John chapters 6-11), then the 7th time He allowed them to arrest Him.) At the 7th occasion it was His time – time to “rescue” us by dying for our sins. His perfect timing. (This rescue [Jesus dying for us] is a shadow-type of the rapture where He rescues His Bride before the Tribulation at the end of the 6,000 years. Also a shadow-type reference of God resting after the 6th day. Creating the sacred 7th day rest, Sabbath/Shabbat. (a lot to digest, but don’t give up.)
- It is significant that the last two afflictions on Job were after a separate meeting with satan and God (Job 6:7,9). After the 4th affliction satan approached God again asking Him to afflict the bones and body of Job. God agreed to allow it with the stipulation that his life must be spared. (shadow-type: at the end of 4,000 years, Jesus died on the cross!!! His body was afflicted and broken, but His life was spared as He rose from the grave!) The correlation of the 4th affliction pause in Job’s life, and the 4,000 years when Jesus died on the cross are shadow-type related.
- Humans have suffered this world almost 6,000 years. God’s plan has been all along for Jesus to rescue His Bride at the end of the 6,000 years, before the Tribulation (we are currently in the window in 2024). In Job 5:19, He says that we will not be touched the 7th. The Bride, Jesus, and His Holy Spirit are removed from the earth before sudden destruction and the Tribulation rocks this earth when the 7,000 years begins and the seven year tribulation. He is saying here that His Bride will NOT be touched on the “7th”. The 6,000 and the 7th are key.
- Genesis 2:1-3. God rested and sanctified the 7th day.
- The disciple of Jesus, Peter, said, “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” 2 Peter 3:8
- Check out Revelation 20:1-6, the 7th day of rest, the day is like a thousand and a thousand like a day; the thousand year rest and reign with Jesus. (Verse 5 refers to the unsaved ones that are not His.)
- The Tribulation is right after the Bride leaves with the Holy Spirit at the end of the 6,000 years. The Bride is gone at the end of Revelation 3. Then the scrolls are opened and the “6” seals are broken by Jesus and wrath is poured out beginning in Revelation “6”. The 7th seal isn’t opened until after the 144,000 (God’s chosen Jews whose eyes are opened to worship the Messiah, Jesus) are marked in Revelation 7. They will also NOT be touched on the “7th.”
- That proves that Jesus’ Bride (wholehearted followers of Jesus) are gone after Revelation 3 and before the seals are broken during the Tribulation in Revelation 6.
- After the thousand years, “the Spirit of God and the Bride say, Come”, to those who survived the Tribulation for Jesus and died for their faith – not receiving the mark of the beast. (Revelation 22:17).
- Be watchful. His Bride will not be surprised by a thief in the night. His Bride sees the season of His coming. Jesus instructs to us to watch for Him and be ready at all times. Only the non-believers and the ones not watching for His coming will be surprised by the trumpet when it sounds to join Him in the air. (Matthew 24:42-44, 2 Peter 3:10, 1Thessalonians 5:1-6, Revelation 16:15, Luke 12:40)
- “2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.” Revelation 3:2-3. He’s telling us here that we are not ready yet. He is warning us to get ready. “Fill our lamps.” (Matthew 25:1-9)
- Be patient. Keeping looking up watching for His return. Just because He hasn’t sounded His trumpet in almost 2,000 years, don’t be fooled that it won’t happen in your lifetime. Hold onto the truths in His Word. Put on your “full armor of God” and be ready. (Ephesians 6:10-18).
- “10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” Revelation 3:10-11. He is saying here that He will keep His wholehearted followers from that hour – the tribulation.
- There is nothing this world offers that is more important than your salvation in Jesus and spending eternity with Him. Don’t allow anyone or anything in this world to distract you from your focus on Jesus.
- Be willing to be persecuted and rejected for your faith in Jesus. It’s ok. He is with you. (Psalms 34:17-19, John 16:33).
- “13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.” Ephesians 6:13
- Get excited! Be ready! Look up! For your redeemer cometh to take His Bride away.
Job 5:17-24
The Blessings of God’s correction
17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
24 And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.

Toldja so
Deep revelation! But, oh so good once you understand it. I know that was a lot of information. You are not supposed to understand all of that right off the bat. This is information for deeper study with the Holy Spirit. The rapture is not a subject that can be easily answered. It’s a subject of great debate so you must study to understand. It’s not a yes or no question and there is not a set date or hour for it to happen. Subjects like these that God has spoken and taught during Jesus’ ministry on earth, are spoken in parables for the believers to dig deeper to search out the meaning, and for the unbelievers to keep doubting and move on.
If you are tired of the lies you were taught, and tired of relying on other people to tell you what God says, this is a great place to start on your journey into the depths with Jesus. I pray you choose to take this journey with Him. He will transform your life and you will never be the same.
In closing,
Always ask Jesus what you should do in every situation. The Holy Spirit will lead you and guide you. If it’s not okay with Him, He will check your spirit and you will have an uneasy feeling and doubt about going forward. Always follow Jesus; NOT your heart; our hearts are fickle and can’t be trusted. Listen to the Holy Spirit; He is trying to protect you. You have a choice to obey or ignore. Choose to obey and stay under His protection.
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?”
Jeremiah 17:9
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.“
Proverbs 3:5
“When you know you grow!”
