God is choosing you! Will you follow?

by | Encountering Love

I CHOSE YOU!

God chose you for His son Jesus. (John 10:11)

You are His sheep!

Did you know that before the beginning of time, before Creation of the world, that God chose you, chose the time you would be born, and He chose the womb He would place you in?

We are born sinners into this broken and fallen world with the hope of forgiveness. Maybe you have wondered if you were a mistake, unplanned, or placed in the “wrong” family. That’s what the world feeds; it feeds those lies from the enemy. Perhaps you have felt all alone growing up and you had to figure things out on your own due to abandonment or rejection. Be encouraged, God has had a plan for you all along, so regardless of where He placed you or what conditions you were conceived, you were planned by Him. God is never surprised by what humans do; He created us, He knows us.

He is with us always. (Matthew 28:20)

I’m born. Now what?

Now, God teaches you, protects you, prunes and refines you, preparing you for the purpose He created you. In this process, there will be lots of trips, falls, mistakes, frustrations, disappointments, and pain. Those aren’t negatives, they are part of life and part of what shapes you and creates your testimony that He uses to help others who have been through the same things.

At birth, Adonai teaches and protects you in a special way until you reach an age of awareness and responsibility to be able to choose if you want to follow Him and His ways. When you choose to follow God and have a relationship with Him, He takes His care of you to a whole new level.

If you choose not to follow Adonai but to do things your way, or the world’s way, you willingly, and most likely unknowingly, toss yourself outside His covering of protection. In this scenario, you have chosen to walk away from Him, and with that decision comes special consequences and tests that He will use to try to draw you near to Him. The entire time you are doing life without Him, He’s calling you to come back. With every test and trial, you have a unique opportunity to turn back to Him. It takes extreme pride and stubbornness to continue to ignore Adonai’s beckoning whisper for you to return to Him.

What do I do with this pain and weakness?

Take heart, Jesus said His grace is sufficient to get you through the tests and trials of life. In fact, scripture also says that God tests us often. (James 1) His Word says that His power is made perfect in your weaknesses. Not all tests and “bad” things that happen to you are from the enemy. Some are for teaching purposes for you from your Heavenly Father. (Isaiah 48:10)

The Apostle Paul said it best when he said he was well pleased with his weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions and difficulties that he endured on behalf of the Messiah because he knew that when he was weak God was strong in him. (2 Corinthians 12:9-11)

This is what God wants for all His followers, to teach you so that He can help you become who He created you to be. Turn back to Adonai and allow Him to carry you through your pain and weaknesses. He wants to fight your battles for you. Cling to Him (Deuteronomy 13:4) and He will fight the enemy for you and care for you in such a loving way that you can’t imagine for yourself what it would be like. (Ephesians 3)

Where is God anyway?

Have you lost count of how many times you have prayed and not received an answer from God? Perhaps you have given up praying because He doesn’t seem to answer you when you need Him. Do you believe that God has rejected you like humans have in your life? Maybe you feel unworthy to talk to Him or ask Him for anything? Perhaps you have been led to believe that He is disappointed in your sins and will not listen to you? Could it be that you believe that He is just to busy for you or doesn’t care?

There are scriptures in the Bible that talk about God being on His throne in Heaven, and that’s what most preachers have taught through the years. What you discover in studying the whole Bible yourself firsthand, is that He is everywhere. He is with you. He sees you. He hears you.

God does NOT grow tired or weary
                       from caring for His people!

“Haven’t you known, haven’t you heard that the everlasting God, Adonai, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not grow tired or weary? His understanding cannot be fathomed.” Isaiah 40:28

In Isaiah 41, He says in His Word that He is with us. Ask yourself this: Why would God go to such great care to create you and place you on earth, just to desert you? Does that make sense to you? God delights in you, He brought you to this moment and rescued you because He delights in you. (Zephaniah 3:17, Psalm 18:19)

God loves it when we talk to Him. And I don’t mean pray for things you want, but talk to Him like a child to a trusting, loving Heavenly Father. It may be hard to imagine Him this way if you don’t have a good relationship with an earthy father, so study God’s Word so you can get to know Him. Then you will find it easy to talk to Him. The Bible says He delights when we sit with Him and study His Word. Studying His Word is a form of worship to Him. (Psalm 147)

Does God care about what’s going on with me?

Whether you are new to faith in the one true God of Heaven, or learning to go deeper in relationship with Him, He wants you to know that He deeply cares for you. Remember He shaped you and gave you breath. (Isaiah 42) He called you by name; Adonai loves you.

I have been taught for years that God does not care about our day to day wants and needs; that He only cares about our soul. I have been taught that all we need to do is invite Jesus into our hearts and then go on with our lives doing the best we can. That, coupled with the belief that God is too busy and can’t be everywhere all the time; that there are too many people.

WARNING!!!!

Test everything anyone says to you about “what God says” and make sure it aligns with what His Word actually says; if it doesn’t align, TOSS IT OUT! (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

There is NO WHERE in the Bible that says God doesn’t care about every tiny detail of our lives. In fact, it repeatedly says the opposite!

For years, I’ve heard the lie that God is to busy and doesn’t care about our daily lives, but it never set well with me. Those words did not match with my interactions with the God of Heaven. My experiences with Him were always one of complete love and trust, and that He was always with me. Even when I made colossal mistakes, and I made a lot; still do, Adonai my God has always been there for me. I was the one that periodically walked away from Him, not the other way around.

God’s Holy Word is full of promises of His deep love and guarantees that He is always with us, all day every day. He hears our prayers, He collects our tears, He teaches us, He loves us, He disciplines us, He carries us, and on and on. (See the list below of what He says about you. He is a very protective Father!) He is everywhere all the time with us. When you study His Word, you can feel His love.  He created us to crave a love that only He can fill. While with God in His Word, He reveals it to you. His deep love is so profound that it will take your breath away.

Alert! For those who choose not to trust Jesus and follow Him, He still sees and hears them. No one can hide from God. All of our sins are exposed to Him; we can’t keep a secret from God, He knows. For those who don’t repent and turn from their sinful ways, they will be judged. If that is you, turn to Him today and repent. He is calling you to come back to Him.

NEWS FLASH!

When God doesn’t answer your prayers, it’s a blessing! That means that He can see the bigger picture and what you think you want is NOT what you need, at least not for now. It could be that it’s simply a timing issue and He will answer it when His timing is right for you. He is testing your faith to see if you will wait on Him.

Perhaps you have believed the lies that He doesn’t care about you and you have chosen to walk away from God. Allow the Father to get close to you. Choose to spend time with Adonai and let Him love you, protect and teach you. It’s time for you to know His peace and His indescribable love for you.

How do I hear from God?

God talks to those who talk to Him; He talks to those who know Him. God is raising up a holy people that know the voice of God. They’re not going to have to go to some evangelist to get a word. People all over the United States are trying to look for a word, you know why? Because God is not talking to them. I don’t want God to talk to me through somebody else. I want to hear it right from his heart, right from his lips!” David Wilkerson

I love these words from David; they hit me square between the eyes. I can’t tell you how many times I chased down a prophet or anointed servant of God to give me a “word” from God. It wasn’t until I chose to study the entire Bible cover to cover that I learned how to hear directly from God.  There is NO “10-step program” on how to hear from God! Study His Word first-hand just you and He alone. Be still and know. (Psalm 46:10)

Choose to study His Word, your Daily Bread and get to know your Heavenly Father. I promise He will start speaking directly to you. There’s no special trick or step; simply study His Word. When you have a question, ask Him? He will either give you the answer or tell you to trust that He will give it to you when you are ready; in the meantime, keep studying straight through from Genesis to Revelation. He will meet you there every morning, every day, anytime day or night.

If you can’t hear Him speaking when you pray, go back to the last promise you remember Him giving you. Hold onto that promise until He gives you another one. In the “in-between time” you can cling to that promise while you spend time studying His Word and receive your “Daily Bread” from Him. (Luke 11:3) His Daily Bread is your time in His Word that He uses to feed your soul. It’s equivalent to the manna He provided to the Israelites in the wilderness every day for forty years. You are living in your wilderness now and He wants to feed you with His Daily Bread; without it you will starve to death. Just like the Israelites had to go out every morning and collect the manna and prepare it to eat, you have to make an effort every morning to simply open up your Daily Bread and let Him speak to you. When His timing is right for you, He will give you the next promise to cling too.

How do I discover my purpose?

You did not choose Him, He chose and appointed you to go and bear fruit before He placed you in your mother’s womb. (John 15:16)

God is doing things behind the scenes that no one can see. He is quietly raising up an army of fearless and pure believers that are so dedicated to Him that nothing can deter them. God is going to use them to shake the nations. God is raising up a remnant of wholehearted believers like Samuel the prophet, in the First Testament of the Bible. A remnant that will not waiver from God; a remnant He can trust to lead His people.

In the book of Samuel, God spoke to Samuel, the servant child in the church, not Eli, the priest. Eli and his two sons were the priests in Shiloh and had given into sin and corruption but continued to lead the people in the church. In many churches, this behavior pattern of leadership has never stopped. God said in that story and to His followers today, I’m going to judge the evilness, I will not continue to put up with sin in My “house.” In Samuel’s story, God exposed the sin and will do the same using His remnant of leaders. God will not allow it any longer. They had a chance to repent and chose not too.

Adonai is raising up a remnant that hears straight from God.

They won’t have to go to someone to hear a word. God is speaking directly to His remnant that He will train in true deliverance. There is coming a time for a new deliverance ministry where people will be coming to hear truth about peace and hope. God’s Holy remnant will remain steadfast and sure during the chaos while others are gripped with fear. God will use the remnant that hear from Him to tell the others truth; this same remnant that are so into the Bible that they don’t need a teacher because the Holy Spirit is teaching them. (I John 2:27)

God is preparing them ahead of the collapse, preparing them for the judgement that is coming.
He is raising up an army!

Are you in that army? Do you want to be? He is calling you. Turn back to Him today.  If you are a believer already but want to go deeper into relationship with Him and allow Him to prepare you for more, for your calling, tell Him. Repent, humble yourself and start in Genesis 1:1 and study with Him straight through at His pace with you.

God chose you! He needs you to fulfill your special purpose. He needs you to cling to Him, spend time with Him and study His Word so that He can teach and prepare you so that He can show you what your calling is for Him. It is in your special time with Him that you will discover your purpose.

God has created special unique study aides for you with the help of our team at The Esther Uprising. There is a study guide book for the entire Bible (Genesis to Revelation) to keep you on track to study cover to cover, and you can check off the chapters as you study along with Him. Adonai has also helped us create Study Journals for the Torah books, the first five books of the Bible, the books that are also tagged with being the hardest to read. You will discover in your studies with Him that they are actually the best books of the Bible. Once you study the Torah you will come to love it as well because it is in those books that you meet God and find out who He is and how much He loves you. You can go to our Resources tab on our website to find the journals. As we create journals for each book of the Bible we will add on to our site for your use.

Prayer

Thank you, Father, for showing me your truth today. Thank you for choosing me, Father. Thank you for sending your son, Jesus our Messiah, to die for my sins. I repent of all my sins, Father, and turn back to you wholeheartedly. Show me the way. Prepare and teach me, Father. I give you permission to do whatever you need to do to get me ready for my purpose.
