Do we need God or His Bible?
Do they really matter anymore?
We live in such a busy, hectic, chaotic time where everyone wants immediate answers, immediate responses, immediate satisfaction, immediate results, immediate peace, and so on and so on. No one has time to breathe or rest or wait. Years ago the mantra became: I want it NOW! We have a microwave that cooks almost instantly and we often get upset when it doesn’t “cook” as fast as we want.
It’s no wonder that there is NO PEACE in this world!
How did we get to this point? What happened to those days of old where there was peace to be found? The days when people rested on the weekends, visited with family, and shared meals together, playing in the yard and having barbecues and watching the sun set with friends and family, sitting around fires and singing to someone playing a guitar, a time before handheld electronics, a time before any electronics. It’s amazing how technology entered the scene and all peace went out the window.
In America, prayer was taken out of schools in 1962. The Ten Commandments were taken out of schools in 1980. The children were targeted by removing God from their daily lives where they spent most of their time, in school. Chaos in schools quickly elevated. God was systematically taken out of our public lives, then in comes technology. The internet entered our lives in 1983, creating the ultimate distraction from God and truth. Then the Ten Commandments began being completely removed from any public place in 2003.
As a result of removing God and His principles from our lives, chaos and rebellion in our world ramped up quickly. Since then and still today, the evil in this world is working hard to remove God from not only our public lives, but they are now attacking our private lives trying to prevent Believers from even reading their Bibles in their homes. There are real threats to AI (Artificial Intelligence) rewriting the Bible and creating a new twisted version of God’s truth. Our Bible as we know it to be the God-breathed Word of God is being threatened in its existence.
A world without God
By removing God, our Creator, from our central focus in our lives and how we operate has opened a door for evil to slither in and take over. Without God, there is no order, only chaos. Without God, there is no peace. Believers have been battling the enemy since the beginning of time. With God in our lives, He fights the battles for us and protects us. By pushing Him out and trying to do life without Him, people have spiraled into fear and despair trying to fight the enemy alone. Life without God is no life at all. People who think they don’t need God, or believe He even exists, are desperately searching for the very things they have denied from God, His peace, hope, love, and joy.
Jesus is coming back soon. That’s a fact! If you read “His Word” (His Truth) cover to cover, He tells us what signs to look for to know that His return is soon. We won’t know the day or hour, but He promises us we will see the signs in the season, and know it’s near. That is happening now. His Word says that He will come as a thief in the night to those who are not prepared, but to His children, they will know and see the signs and be prepared. Just like the story of the ten virgins Jesus talks about in Matthew 25. Five of them saw the signs and were prepared, the other five didn’t believe He was coming and weren’t prepared. When they saw He had come, they begged for Him to let them in and He told them to go away, that He didn’t know them. It was complete devastation for them and it was to late to enter in with Him.
People, there is not much time left to turn away from the world and back to Him. In these last days, it’s important to cling to His truth and promises and pray for others. Scripture says that His Believers will be caught up in the air to meet Him. (1 Thessalonians 4:17) When that happens, the Holy Spirit goes before us, thereby leaving the world behind and unprotected without His presence. Literally a world without God. Those who have fought hard to have a world without God are going to get to experience what that will actually be like; hell on earth. I wonder if they will have regrets or still be filled with pride and get mad at God for making them suffer for their disobedience. The Tribulation is not meant for God’s children; it will be a time of great suffering for those who didn’t believe Jesus was the Son of God or have a personal relationship with Him.
Repent of your sins and turn back to Him today. Believe and be saved!
Why we need to be studying our whole Bible now more than ever
Believers are taught that the First Testament books of the Bible are not relevant or necessary to read. In fact, many are told only to read certain books in the Bible and overlook the rest. Why?
I took these questions to Adonai and He led me to the answers:
1. Where is the instruction book for life?
2. Why did Jesus not show up until The Gospels?
3. Why wasn’t I taught that Jesus and the Holy Spirit were here from the beginning?
4. Why was I never taught that the Torah is our instruction book for life from our creator, Adonai?
5. How have I read Exodus half a dozen times and am just now seeing this truth today?
I asked Him these questions and He answered me. (Jeremiah 33:3) He will do the same for you. Let me give you a tiny example of what you are missing by not studying the Bible cover to cover. After you read this, you will understand why we must ignore what the world says, and dive into this incredible book; a book that is alive with fascinating stories and meaning that apply to our lives today. What other book is alive and literally changes your life for eternity? Let me save you some time; there’s not another God-breathed book that can fill your soul with peace and hope and transform your life.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living; thus anyone who belongs to God may be fully equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 CJB
Let’s look at Exodus for a valuable lesson in studying God’s Word daily
In the book of Exodus, Adonai gives guidelines for His people to follow until Jesus the Messiah arrives in the flesh. Until the perfect, spotless lamb is sacrificed for all sin for all time, believers would be sacrificing lambs and other appointed animals. These were the guidelines while learning of what is to come and teaching it to all generations.
The example written below will help you better understand. It’s important to note that I didn’t just figure this out when I read it. It was while in deep study that the Holy Spirit revealed this to me. Below is a shadow type of Jesus in Exodus. Let’s look at the parallels between the sacrifices in Exodus and the ones Jesus wants us to make with Him today.
“Now this is what you are to offer on the altar: two lambs a year old, regularly, every day. The one lamb you are to offer in the morning and the other lamb at dusk. With the one lamb offer two quarts of finely ground flour mixed with one quart of oil from pressed olives; along with one quart of wine as a drink offering. The other lamb you are to offer at dusk; do with it as with the morning grain and drink offerings — it will be a pleasing aroma, an offering made to Adonai by fire. Through all your generations this is to be the regular burnt offering at the entrance to the tent of meeting before Adonai. There is where I will meet with you to speak with you. There I will meet with the people of Isra’el; and the place will be consecrated by my glory.” Exodus 29:38-43 CJB
What it really means to spend time
with the Father.
The Truth was there the whole time.
Here the Holy Spirit shows us that we are to sacrifice to Him morning and night. So, what does that look like for us today? It could look like alone time with Him each morning and night in His Word. That is a sacrifice of time to spend with Him, so He can teach us more. He is with us always, but He wants us to sacrifice time at least twice a day, morning and night, to learn from Him. We are being denied that knowledge of relationship opportunity by being told we don’t need to study the entire Bible. This sacrifice of time with Him each morning and night is a pleasing aroma to Him. Not only that, but our time with Him is also a SPECIAL GIFT TO HIM! And to us.
What God showed me in Exodus
During my time studying Exodus, it occurred to me that I only thought of myself while studying. What can I learn, and what will YHWH God teach me? What does He have for me in this study? I had never realized how pleasing it must be to Him for me to simply spend time with Him, hungry to know Him more.
I had a very emotional cry with that revelation, and I couldn’t stop repenting until I calmed down. My selfish approach to reading the Bible was not malicious, but it was still selfish in the sense that I was only thinking about what He would give me in His Word. It is a great lesson to remember how much it means to Him when we spend time with Him. Spending time with Him honors Him. Think of what it must mean to Him for you to sit down and spend quality time with Him.
He says if we will “sacrifice” to meet with Him daily, He will MEET US THERE!
What happens when you study His Word?
When you study, you are not studying alone!!! He is with you! You are literally sitting in His presence! I have never felt more loved than I did with that revelation knowledge. As I study at my table, I imagine Him sitting across from me beaming over my study time. I am forever transformed by the knowledge He is with me in this way. He told me He is with me. I knew it, but I didn’t realize the nearness and the meaning and significance to Him that I was sacrificing my time to Him.
“You prepare a table for me, even as my enemies watch; you anoint my head with oil from an overflowing cup.” Psalms 23:5 NLT
“Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20 NLT
He is literally living with us, in our hearts and homes. It’s mind-blowing to realize He’s literally with us! It gives a whole new meaning to watching what you say and do, because He is near. Realizing that He is near, I am living that war-room movie moment, where I can speak boldly to Goliath, and he must fall at the mention of His name.
After this revelation, I thought back to how I viewed Him before I received this information. Before when I was always talking to Him throughout my day, I was visualizing Him on a throne in Heaven listening and looking down on me. This is a GAME-CHANGER!!!
What do we do with this new-found truth?!?
How do we learn more? Where do we start? Perhaps you feel the First Testament seems too hard to understand. Let’s see what Adonai says to encourage you.
The Shema
“Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:4-9 NLT
Adonai tells us in His Word that it’s not too hard to love, obey, and follow His commands.
“This command I am giving you today is not too difficult for you, and it is not beyond your reach.” Deuteronomy 30:11 CJB
Breaking down the scripture to help you see
Below is a breakdown illustration of what I described in Exodus 29. This is to help you see what He showed me that day, and to help you see that there is more than meets the eye when you read a scripture. God has hidden messages for you to find in His Word. As Jesus told the disciples, He hides the truth from the unbelievers and wants His believers to search out His truth. It’s actually fun to do this with the help of the Holy Spirit. See if you can see the hidden messages.

“These are the sacrifices you are to offer regularly on the altar.” Exodus 29:38 NLT (These sacrifices mean giving up other things in your life to spend time with Him.)
“Each day, offer two lambs that are a year old, one in the morning and the other in the evening.” Exodus 29:39 NLT (He wants to meet with us each day, at least twice a day, morning and evening.)
“With one of them, offer two quarts of choice flour mixed with one quart of pure oil of pressed olives; also, offer one quart of wine as a liquid offering.” Exodus 29:40 NLT (These items signify His Word (flour) and His blood (wine) – Communion with Him. He is feeding us His Word, sprinkling us with His blood, because we are His!)
“Offer the other lamb in the evening, along with the same offerings of flour and wine as in the morning. It will be a pleasing aroma, a special gift presented to the LORD.” Exodus 29:41 NLT (It brings Him great joy when we worship Him.)
“These burnt offerings are to be made each day from generation to generation.” Exodus 29:42a NLT (Teach it to our children to pass on to their children.)
“Offer them in the LORD’s presence at the Tabernacle entrance; there I will meet with you and speak with you.” Exodus 29:42b NLT (He is WITH US! He meets us when we take the time to study. Imagine Him sitting across from you, smiling as you study!!!)
“I will meet the people of Israel there, in the place made holy by my glorious presence.” Exodus 29:43 NLT (Our bodies. His temple.)
“Yes, I will consecrate the Tabernacle and the altar, and I will consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests.” Exodus 29:44 NLT (He consecrates/cleanses us every time we meet with Him.)
“Then I will live among the people of Israel and be their God.” Exodus 29:45 NLT (NOW, not later. When we commit to Him and commune with Him.)
“and they will know that I am the LORD their God. I am the one who brought them out of the land of Egypt so that I could live among them. I am the LORD their God.” Exodus 29:46 NLT (You are so LOVED!!! He brought you out of your personal Egypt and is going to live with YOU!!!)
Eyes opened wide!
Adonai is OUR GOD! He brought us out of our Egypt. HE LIVES WITH US!!! We don’t have to wait until death or after the tribulation! He will LIVE WITH US NOW if we will sacrifice to Him daily. Remember, its “daily” bread, NOT “whenever” bread!
I was asking Adonai: how many times have I read these passages at this point? Over the last two years, I’ve read them a lot. This is a perfect example of why we keep reading them over and over. Had I thought, “Nah, I don’t need to reread those,” I would have missed this special moment and special revelation He had for me. Adonai said in His Word to read it over and over and pass it down from generation to generation. It’s the ONLY book we never finish, and we learn something new every day when we read it.
Hallelujah!!!
What it really means to spend time
with the Father.
The Truth was there the whole time.
May God bless you and keep you as you draw closer to Him every day.
Look UP! Your redemption is close!
