Who is Daisy Hawkins?
Daisy is a woman who knows what it means to need—and receive—the grace of God.
She loves worshipping Jesus and sharing the story of how her Savior forgave her sins, healed deeply wounded places, and restored her after many years of carrying shame, guilt, and insecurity.
Today, Daisy is committed to following God wholeheartedly and helping other women discover the peace, hope, love, and joy found through a personal relationship with their Heavenly Father, Jesus their Savior, and Holy Spirit.
Daisy was born and raised in Alabama. She grew up attending church and gave her heart to Jesus at the age of five. She was baptized in water and, at fourteen, was filled with Holy Spirit and received her prayer language. That experience awakened within her a deeper desire to know God and discover the purpose for which He created her.
Growing up in church did not make her faith journey easy. Painful experiences, difficult lessons, and many faith-stretching seasons have continued shaping her testimony. Those experiences have also given her compassion for women from many backgrounds who carry wounds, questions, and struggles of their own.
In recent years, God began showing Daisy that some beliefs she had accepted were incomplete or did not fully agree with His Word. He invited her to return to Scripture, follow Him more closely, and allow Holy Spirit to teach her how to discern God’s truth from deception.
As Daisy continues learning to trust God, she is discovering greater freedom, deeper peace, and the joy of walking closely with Jesus.
Throughout her life, God has given Daisy a heart for encouragement. Writing under the name Grace Reacher, she desires to help others experience the joy of being fully known and deeply loved by Adonai.
Her message is simple:
You are not forgotten.
You are not beyond His reach.
And you are invited to know Him personally.
Meet Daisy
Daisy is a widow, mother, and grandmother. She graduated with honors in Ministry Leadership, is a Certified Ordained Minister,
serves as an instructor at The Lovelady Center, and writes under the pen name Grace Reacher.
After completing college and earning her degree in her fifties, Daisy developed a deeper desire to know God through His Word
rather than depending solely on what other people said about Him.
Passages such as 1 John 2:27 and Jeremiah 33:3 encouraged her to open the Holy Bible, ask Holy Spirit to teach her,
and personally examine what Scripture says.
Daisy now studies the entire Holy Bible, from Genesis through Revelation, continually. Through this journey,
she has gained a deeper understanding of God’s character and discovered the extraordinary depth of His love for her.
Her life has been transformed through the study of His Word and through countless conversations with her Heavenly Father.
Daisy believes God has called her to continue growing in a personal relationship with Him and to encourage other women to do the same. Her favorite thing to do is spending hours studying Scripture, learning “at the feet of Jesus” like Mary did, then sharing the truths, lessons, and encouragement she receives through her time with Him.
Her heart is to help women know their Heavenly Father, grow closer to Jesus, recognize Holy Spirit’s presence,
and experience the hope found in God’s truth.
When asked what her favorite scripture is, she laughs because she loves so many, and always says, that one is my favorite. No, that is, well, wait, that is too. Daisy says the one scripture that best describes her now, since Adonai has transformed her from the inside out and healed her soul, is Isaiah 61:10:
“I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God!
For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation
and draped me in a robe of righteousness.
I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding
or a bride with her jewels.”
Daisy said she grew up in church, learning to look like she had it all together while still feeling empty inside,
unknowingly searching for all that Jesus offers.
Now she has been transformed by His love and is filled with the joy, hope,
and peace that come only through an intimate relationship with Jesus.
This does not mean that her life is perfect or that she feels no pain.
What it means is that she has learned that her Shepherd is always with her
and that He never fails to walk every step of life with her, showing her His glory in the good days and the dark ones.
He has taught her how to find His joy in all circumstances.
Through her own life experiences, Daisy coined the word:
Flawfull
Full of flaws, but fully forgiven.
Daisy has chosen to follow Jesus wholeheartedly while remembering that none of us ever graduates from Holy Spirit’s teaching.
As her Grannie used to say:
“We are ever learning till we die. Then we rest with Jesus.”
The Heart of an Encourager
Having the gift of encouragement does not mean life is always easy.
People sometimes assume that someone who encourages others must always feel happy, confident, and hopeful. Yet an encourager may be pouring hope into someone else while quietly walking through a valley of her own.
Daisy understands that experience.
God has often allowed her to encourage others even as she has depended on Him for comfort, strength, and healing. Her willingness to notice hope in painful circumstances does not mean she ignores reality. It means she has learned to look for God’s presence and faithfulness within it.
Daisy’s encouragement has been shaped through her own mistakes, losses, wounds, and lessons in humility. Those experiences have deepened her compassion and helped her recognize the pain another woman may be carrying.
She does not encourage others because she has
mastered life and is done learning.
God wove into her DNA a heart of encouragement and has taught her through many trials and dark valleys how to keep her eyes on her
Shepherd who gives her strength to follow Him in all His ways.
She has found the One whom her soul loves and
genuinely wants to help others do the same.

Back to the One who gives comfort, hope, and peace.
Sometimes God provides that comfort privately.
At other times, He sends another person to remind us that
we do not have to carry our pain alone.
A Little-Known Fact About Daisy
Daisy is naturally an introvert.
When others see her speaking boldly, teaching,
or reaching out to encourage someone,
they may assume she is an extrovert.
In truth, she has simply learned that when
her Heavenly Father invites her to “get up and God”,
He will provide the courage and strength she needs to follow Him.

Daisy created Chosen & Crowned in response to God’s leading and her desire to help women discover the truth of His Word and the heart of their good, good Heavenly Father.
The Holy Bible holds countless Treasures that reveal who God is, how deeply He loves us, and how faithfully He remains with us through every season.
Chosen & Crowned is a safe place for women carrying wounds, questions, and painful histories to discover hope, healing, and purpose through a growing relationship with Adonai, our God. It is a community where you can learn to rest in your Father’s care and trust Him to carry you through the places you cannot walk alone.
By studying the whole Holy Bible rather than depending on isolated verses, you can develop a fuller understanding of God’s character. You will learn that He is loving, merciful, gracious, patient, holy, and faithful.
His Word is living and active. It reveals truth, renews our minds, corrects what we have misunderstood, and continually leads us back to Jesus.
Practice the Pause
Before reaching for something that promises temporary relief, pause and ask:
- Is this drawing me closer to Jesus and helping me walk in His truth?
- Is this leading me away from Jesus or keeping me bound to something He is asking me to release?
Bring your answers honestly to your Heavenly Father. Open His Word, invite Holy Spirit into the conversation, and follow the next step your Shepherd shows you.
Sometimes that step may involve letting go of an unhealthy habit, influence, relationship, or belief. Learn to allow Holy Spirit to guide you in how He wants you to receive help and healing He has for you.
If something is consistently pulling you away from Jesus, bring it to Him. Be open and honest as you seek Him for help and direction.
